5 Foundations That Support MS

Do your friends ask for charitable giving advice because they assume you must know all the best MS nonprofits? Don’t worry. I’ve compiled a list of 6 foundations that support MS, each one with unique missions. Read on to learn more about their values and how they support MS.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is dedicated to building a world free of MS. They help people with MS live their best lives and work to eradicate MS. They pride themselves on being “the gathering place for people with MS, their family and loved ones, healthcare providers, volunteers, donors, fundraisers, advocates, community leaders and all those that seek a world free of MS.

Multiple Sclerosis Association of America

MSAA provides free services to those with MS, including a helpline, educational videos and publications, safety and mobility equipment, cooling accessories for heat-sensitive individuals, and a lending library.

Myelin Repair Foundation

If you would like to support research, this is a great place to start. The Myelin Repair Foundation works with major drug companies to fund research into MS treatments and possible cures.

The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation

MSF provides an informational website for people and families living with MS and healthcare professionals. They also provide community education, support groups, grants, and mental and physical wellness services.

The Hilton Foundation

The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation focuses on MS because Conrad’s wife was afflicted with the disease for most of her life. They focus on helping young promising scientists in the field, funding research into biomarkers and infrastructure, providing wellness services to those with MS, and finding treatments and a cure for Progressive MS.

These are just some of the many foundations that support MS. Together, these foundations provide a network of services, support, and research funding that is incredibly valuable to the MS community. Don’t forget to share this list with your friends.
