Sautèed Asparagus with Garlic

Recipe Yield 4 Servings

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 T water
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped or minced
  • 1/8 t salt
  • 1 dash white or black pepper

Directions:

  • Place asparagus and water in pan and heat on stove for 5 minutes over medium heat.
  • Combine olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over asparagus and toss to coat.

Heat for additional 5 minutes until desired tenderness is reached.

I make something similar to this, only I blanch first and use garlic salt and garlic powder in place of the garlic cloves. and then just saute in EVOO.
